Episode 13 – Go Home, Simon. You’re Drunk!



This week on Dating Ourselves, round two of our new format. Brian invents new drinking games to please the liver involving the 80/90s memorization game Simon. Paul debates a world record attempt of playing Sweet Home Alabama on non instruments. All this while Adam takes an opportunity to switch roles and guide the hopper for a change.


Episode 12 – Is Smash Mouth still alive?



The gang is back on track after hiatus, exploring one of the essential bands of the 90s: Smash Mouth, trying to solve the great mysteries in life. Is Smash Mouth considered Rock, Pop, Alternative, or Ska? What is the cover-to-original ratio? What do Steve Harwell and Ron Jeremy have in common? Episode 11 – Weird About Al



Today, the fellas embark on an epic quest to the land of nostalgia. Paul shares that he has a shrine in his home dedicated to Bruce Campbell. Adam reminisces on Galaga, Lamb Chop, foreign heads of state, and Dolly the Sheep. And Brian is essentially just being Weird about Al Yankovic.

In Today’s adventure Brian demonstrates the perfect toy to annoy parents and siblings, the YakBak. Paul debates on entering the world of eSports with Super Smash Bros. And finally our special guest host Neva leads us to a land of wizardry and mystery in a discussion on Harry Potter with a hint of death metal.


Episode 9 – Hooked on Da Yo-Yo , Da Coach , and Da Phonics



In this week’s episode of Dating Ourselves Adam spills the beans on the elementary school assembly that fueled his secret desire to be a Yomega Yo-Yo champion. Paul discusses hostile interview tactics and product endorsement inspired by sports legend Mike Ditka. Brian tries to increase our vocabulary with the system that worked for him, Hooked on Phonics.


Episode 8.5 – Advertising & Failing Memories



This week on Dating Ourselves, it’s a countdown special! We’ll be counting down our top 5 favorite TV commercials! The gang increases Paul’s vocabulary with games about Anthropomorphism while saving saving his Pepsi Points for a Harrier Jet. Brian lusts over the unknown singer of the Crossfire board game ad. And Adam wonders How many licks does it take? The World may never know.


Episode 8 – Best Lasagna your Allowance Can Buy in Cape Suzette



In today’s adventure, Brian uncovers his new invention of the rider snowblower in his segment on allowance, Adam reviews the romantic arcs of one of the world’s most beloved tales: Garfield, and Paul spins it with our most requested topic to date: Disney’s TaleSpin.


Episode 7 – Total Request deceased , Dad joke edition



In this week’s episode, Adam discusses how watching Total Request Live cures migraines, and prepares the “cool guys” for senior prom; Brian shoe-horns in another story about playing in a band that is tangentially related to the classic Willy Wonka candy Laffy Taffy; and Paul reminisces about Sandusky, Ohio’s second biggest attraction (behind Callahan Auto Parts): Cedar Point.


Episode 6.5 – Fast Cars , Giveaway Winners, and Christmas Music?



We are taking a break from our regular shenanigans in order to thank some of our listeners for their show of support. We are giving away three nostalgia-themed paper flower arrangements by Paper Blossoms by Michal, and announcing those winners here. In addition to this fun contest, Paul shares his fondness for Michigan-based folk music by Da Yoopers, Adam takes all of Paul’s favorite holiday songs, especially those by Weird Al, and Brian sings selections of heavy metal yuletide.


Episode 6 – The Richest Armageddon in Darkness



In this week’s episode Brian’s discusses the proclivity toward sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll with the early 2000s glam metal band The Darkness, Paul shares his perspective on the highest grossing movie of 1998, Blues Brothers in Space… uhh, I mean Armageddon. This all while Adam gushes over the raw talent that was Macaulay Culkin in 1994’s Richie Rich.
