Episode 20 – I Dreamed a Dream of the 1992 Dream Team



Nothing but net this week, as the fellas speak on the US Men’s Olympic Basketball team: the 1992 Dream Team. Don’t miss any of the action as Brian remembers the difference between “collegiate” and “cordial”, Adam wears himself out just thinking about Michael Jordan’s schedule, and Paul gives us all a reason to give a second thought when he offers up a beer mug. Episode 19 – Do a Barrel Roll!



This week we learn we’ll never defeat Andross as Paul walks us through the ups and downs of the classic Nintendo game series: StarFox! Brian will hit us in the feels with tales of woe growing up in a Sega-only household, and Adam explores new delivery methods for the show.

Episode 18 – A Trading Card Set that’s Fit for Wisconsin



On this episode, we have a special guest in da house! Greg from Wisconsin joins us to give us his insight on the awesomely gruesome, but somehow delightful trading cards: The Garbage Pail Kids. Limits will be tested as we learn Adam’s safe word. Paul mentions the worst image he can’t help but laugh at, Brian speculates on the impact of an atom bomb exploding in your head, all while Greg tries to keep us honest.


Episode 17 – Slingshots, First Beers, and Geeks



This week the gang takes a trip back to high school in an Adam-led discussion on the cancelled-before-its-time television show: Freaks and Geeks. Paul recounts a simpler time of water balloon slingshots and Halloween mischief, while Brian struggles to hold the show on rails.


Episode 16.5 – Bloopers, Found Footage, and Wombats



Changing it up this week on Dating Ourselves, while Paul travels for work, Brian and Adam have dipped deep into the archive to create something special. Using a mix of found footage of our greatest hits and misses, the guys have composed a very special blooper episode!


Episode 16 – Ho Ho ThunderCats!



Dating Ourselves is on the move and the guys are loose! This week Paul is finally allowed to unleash ThunderCats Ho! The animated television series. Brian will point out how ThunderCats tagentially relates to a King Kong movie that only 4 people have seen and Adam will shock all with the stunning revelation he has never watched ThunderCats!


Episode 15 – Where in our Childhood was Carmen Sandiego?



Hold onto your fedoras, gumshoes! Today’s caper is brought to us by Dating Ourselves. On this episode, Brian leads us down memory lane with a discussion of the PBS game show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. Adam tries to remember his Spanish in the quest for the missing letter N, While Paul recounts the greatest squirrel story ever told while operating the Hopper.


Episode 14 – Wetsuits & Fat Americans



On this episode, slap on the wetsuit and come on down to Dolphin Park as the gang discusses the classic Nintendo 64 game Wave Race 64. The only video game to feature an American character whose description lists “poor handling, grip, and acceleration due to his weight; is recommended for advanced players.”


Episode 13 – Go Home, Simon. You’re Drunk!



This week on Dating Ourselves, round two of our new format. Brian invents new drinking games to please the liver involving the 80/90s memorization game Simon. Paul debates a world record attempt of playing Sweet Home Alabama on non instruments. All this while Adam takes an opportunity to switch roles and guide the hopper for a change.
